By downloading, installing, or using ChessGym ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
ChessGym is a free chess training application that provides puzzle solving, board visualization exercises, blind mode challenges, and achievement tracking. The app is provided "as is" and may be updated, modified, or discontinued at any time.
3. User Accounts
You may use ChessGym without creating an account. If you choose to sign in using Google or email authentication, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information and to notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
— Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or other users' accounts
— Use automated tools to scrape, abuse, or overload the service
— Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app beyond what is permitted by law
— Use the app for any unlawful purpose
5. Intellectual Property
The ChessGym app, including its design, code, and content, is the intellectual property of Paul Mihai Craciunas. Chess puzzles are sourced from the Lichess puzzle database, which is available under the Creative Commons CC0 license.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
ChessGym is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the app is at your own risk.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChessGym and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data or interruption of service.
8. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to ChessGym at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these terms or is harmful to other users or the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
